Portside Room

Mothing but maritime flair here! Portholes, planks, driftwood and an original sea chart of the German Bight all show you the way. This all bears witness to the close connection with North Germany. It was only natural that the Ammerland Hotel should have at least one room linked to its origins! Ammerland is approx. 800km from Upper Bavaria. The biggest cities nearby are Oldenburg and Bremen. The family of the owner, Carolin Block, comes from Ammerland, Bad Zwischenahn to be precise. And when her father came to the heart of Bavaria for love in 1960, he brought a piece of home with him, when he and his wife named the hotel: AMMERLAND!
